Published: Sep 10, 2010 by rastamasta Filed under: News

buju bantonOne of the co-defendants in the 'drug trafficking conspiracy' trial involving dancehall/reggae legend Buju Banton as reportedly agreed to co-operate with the US Government as part of an agreed deal in his drug case.

According to deal signed today, Ian Thomas will reportedly plead guilty to possession with intent to distribute over 5 kilos or more of cocaine. It is looking more likely that Thomas will testify against Buju.

James Mack, a co-defendant in the trial has reportedly signed an affidavit on behalf of Buju, stating, among other things that he never met Buju Banton prior to his arrest. He also stated on the affidavit that Buju had no knowledge of the money or gun that was in Mack's car.

Sources have confirmed that the trial is due to commence on September 20th 2010.

Dutty Babylon are upto some tricks, but hopefully Buju will clear his name as this trial isn't over yet! Riddimtube seh FREE DI GARGAMEL!
